He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Shelton and Lelia Shelton (Graf); and his brother Dan Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Janet (Burson); his daughter Marian Sue Shelton-Vansant (Thomas); his stepdaughters, Melissa Ross of Seattle and Sarah Wheeler (Danny) of Dallas, Texas; and his sister Judy Gailey of Bolivar. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren.
