He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Leroy and Mildred Elizabeth Acton (Fischer); and his son Roger Acton. He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Scott; his children, Clint Acton of Marceline, MO and Brenda Acton of Warsaw, MO; his stepsons, Randall Scott (Jennifer) of Fayetteville, AR, Jeremy Scott (Amy) of Michigan and Cody Bauserman (Hailey) of Marceline, MO; his grandchildren, Raven Means of North Carolina, Robbie Acton of Carrollton and Brandon Adkins of Carrollton; and his brothers, Andrew Earl Acton and Vernon Leroy Acton (Darlene) of Carrollton. He is also survived by eight step grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
