He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Longfellow Key and Marjorie Lucille Key (Diggs); his daughter Sara Renee Key; and his parents-in-law, Lina and Virgil Littrell.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Littrell; his daughters, Denise Kussman (Patrick) of Marceline and Jodi Key; his granddaughters, Abbey, Sarah and Katey Kussman; his siblings, Sara Jo Swenson (Dennis) of Hoover Heights, David L. Key (Mary) of Troy, Leslie R. Key (Julie) of Mexico and Russell L. Key of Ankeny; his brother-in-law Bill Littrell (Carol) of Brookfield; and his aunt Martha Shelton. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
