It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Carpenter of Marceline, Missouri, born in Burbank, California, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Decoster and Kathleen Decoster (Richardson); her grandmother Helen Richardson; her grandson James Winfrey; and her aunt Cig.

She is survived by: her children, Ryan Newbert of Simi Valley, Cassandra Foxworth of Marceline, Amanda Decoster of Marceline, Skylor Carpenter of Hannibal and Brianna Carpenter of Hannibal; her siblings, Scott Decoster of Simi Valley, Kym Decoster (Bruce Lee) of Brookfield and Shelley Simmons (Donnie); her grandchildren, Gabriel Ingels of Quincy, IL, Brinlee Decoster of Marceline and Raelynn Decoster of Marceline; her uncle Tom Decoster of New Hampshire; her nephew Bailey Seid; her niece Jade Seid; and her former spouses, Rocco, Jeanne Acerrio of Canago Park and Charlie Carpenter of Hannibal.
