She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barnes and Lucille Barnes (Hopkins); her husband Gary Buchanan; her sister Mary Haley; and her sister-in-law Janice Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Holly Ward (Johnathan); her siblings, Dale Smith of Bruner, MO, Virgil Barnes of Marceline and Elma Barnes of Marceline; and her grandchildren, Lila and Mason Ward.
