She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Sears and Helen Sears (Ross); her husband Donald Kent Mahoney; and her sisters, Donna Downing and Glenda Christy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Pettit of Marceline and Johnna Rice of Costa Mesa; and her siblings, Ronnie Sears of Mendon, Jerry Sears of Colorado Springs and Kathy Riddle of Chillicothe. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
