It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John A. Benedict of Marceline, Missouri, born in Herlong, California, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Benedict and Thelma Benedict (Scott); his wife Wanda Ramey Martin; and his sisters, Helen and Linda (Wanda).

He is survived by: his close friend Terri Comstock; his children, Terry Martin of Sweet Springs, Carman Benedict of Marceline, Janet Atherton of Norborne and Kimberly Norman of Madison; and his siblings, Jimmy Benedict of Brunswick, Richard Benedict of St. Joseph, Donna Clark of Triplett and Joanne Wilcoxson of Brunswick.
