He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward and Iva Elzora Runnels (Mungle); and his brother Lender Runnels. He is survived by: his wife Fern Catherine Slinkard; his children, Vurnis Lee Runnels (Diane) of St. Peters, MO and Olive Lucille Humes (Charles) of Jackson, MO.; his sisters, Beatrice Slinkard of Kansas and Sylvia Maxine Davis of Perryville, MO; and his granddaughters, Amy Voelkel (Bill), Tisha Hecht (Gary) and Cara Griffith (Brent). He is also survived by his six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
