He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Angel and Loretta Angel (Barks); his siblings, Kenneth Ray, Charles Angel, Faye Giddens and Phyliss James; and his grandchildren, Johnathon, Travis and Shawn.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, John E. Angel Jr. of Patton, MO, Loretta Shaffer (Charles) of Marble Hill, MO, Mahetta Angel (Billy Myers) of Glen Allen, MO and Charlotte Walker of Patton, MO; his brothers, Tim Angel (Pam) and Tom Angel of Marble Hill, MO; and his grandchildren, Chris, Monica, Kyle, Kristy, Levi and Jhonni. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and several friends.
