He was predeceased by: his father Richard Earl Mabe, Sr.; and his brother Robert Mabe. He is survived by: his mother Virginia Lee Mabe (Blacketer) of Mountain Grove; his children, Robert Mabe (Austyn) of Vanzant, Jessica Hines (Tommy) of Mansfield and Randi Mabe of Norwood; his brothers, Richard Mabe, Jr. (Colleen) of Mountain Grove and Buddy Mabe of Mountain Grove; his sister-in-law Sheila Mabe of Marionville; and his grandchildren, Katlynn Ellison, Jakob Ellison, Kiel Ellison, Paige Moore, Kyra Lacy, Dreama Marie, Peyton Bradshaw, River Mabe, Rayne Mabe, Tommy Hines, Jr. and Joshua Lacy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
