He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard William and Pauline Willie Johnson (Campbell); his former spouse Shirley Faye Pinley; and his daughter Joy Johnston. He is survived by: his children, Jill Rosanbalm (Lyle) of Pleasant Hill, Joel Johnson (Lori) of Blue Springs, Bethany Schwartz (Nick) of Waterloo and Josh Johnson of Blue Springs; his son-in-law Dale Johnston of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his grandchildren, Brittany Johnston, Adrienne Johnston, Ethan Johnston, John Rosanbalm (Jodi), Amber Johnson, Caleb Johnson (Brittni), Jake Schwartz, Jenna Schwartz and Jo Schwartz; and his siblings, Rita Krizan of Springfield, Missouri and Mike Johnson of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Mercy Hospital or the National Alzheimer's Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
