He is survived by: his mother Dixie Black Patterson of Risco; his children, Kelly Tyberendt (Mark) of O'Fallon, Illinois and Josh Patterson (Amber) of Farmington; his grandchildren, Isabella Scire, Allison Izard, Maddy Schnable, Jake Schnable and Carter Schnable; his great grandchild Maisyn Izard; and his sister Shirley Frye (Randy) of Risco. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
