She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Reverend O. H. Brooks; her children, Howie and Kristi Brooks Mitchell; her siblings, Gladys Roberts, Wanda Miley, Melba Kasser, Melvin Duncan, Calvin Duncan and Huey Duncan; her parents, Willie C. Duncan and Bessie Duncan; her daughter Vicci (Carroll Fairchild); her grandchildren, Robin, Charles Morris, Jill Rouse, Jennifer Fairchild, Jaci, Michael Siebenkittel, Eric Fuller, Curtis and Kim Fuller; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Tristan, Trevor Fairchild, Bo, Chase Rouse, Drew, Dylan, Dawson Siebenkittel and Zach Morris; and her great great grandchild Kash Fairchild. She was also cherished by 19 Great-Grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Mrs. Brooks suffered from Alzheimer's, and passed peacefully into the gates of Heaven while the singing of gospel music was being sung.
