He was predeceased by: his siblings, Viola Brooks and James Brooks. He is survived by: his son Herman Sterling Brooks (Lillie Kathleen Hoard Brooks Calder); his wife Wilma Elaine Mims; his sons, Travis Brooks of Malden and Donny Brooks (Racheal) of Malden; his grandchildren, Kendra Brooks (Brandon) of Malden, Patrick Brooks of Malden, Autumn Light (Steven) of Bernie and Ray Lynn Brooks of Malden; his great grandchildren, Cooper James Light of Bernie and Toby Yount of East Prairie; and his siblings, Jerry Brooks, Virginia Davison and Bertha Winchester. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
