He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis R. Cowsert and Violet West Cowsert; and his siblings, Charles Cowsert "Junior", Joe Cowsert, Kenny Cowsert, David Cowsert, Gene Cowsert, Karl Cowsert, Danny Cowsert, Wilda Beamon, Geraldine Burden, Aldora Kopf and Edith Cowsert.
He is survived by: his former wife Judith Ann Allen; his wife Judy Cowsert of Malden, MO; his children, Mark Cowsert (Valorie) of Hollister, MO, Michelle Cook (Brian) of Kokomo, MO and Lisa Burch (Chris) of Ozark, MO; his grandchildren, Derek Cowsert (Alayna) of Colorado Springs, CO, Krischanda Moore (Austin) of Kirbyville, MO, Lindsey Cunningham (Stephen) of Dexter, MO, Ashley Cowsert of Memphis, TN, Mattie Cowsert of New York, NY, Chelsey Simpson of Piggott, AR, Michael Simpson of Campbell, MO, Caleb Cook of Kokomo, IN and Jorden Burch of Ozark, MO; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Maci, Jasper, Briley, Nova, Atlas, Sophia Grace, Sophia Blair and Adeline; and his siblings, Tena McPherson (Junior) of Catawissa, MO and Freddy Cowsert (Kelli) of Wheatland, MO. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Otis and Ruby Allen Scholarship at Oakland City University in Oakland City, IN.
