He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Kenneth and Mildred V. McPike (Larason); his former wife Virginia McPike; his children, Dianna Lee, Kenneth McPike and Brenda Leonard; and his granddaughter Stephanie McPike.
He is survived by: his spouse Geniece L. Hansford; his daughters, Helen Parkison and Darlene Greeley (Adam); and his pet Sophie. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
