He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Gallop and Veta Catherine Ragsdale Gallop; his brothers, Kenneth and Cecil Jr.; his son-in-law Josh McGee; his granddaughter Cassie Simmerman; and his great grandchildren, Quinn Simmerman and Hudson Hultz.

He is survived by: his children, Darren Gallop (Penny) and Jina Whistler; his stepdaughters, Tammy Davis (Chuck), Cindy Hultz (Alan) and Tina McGee; his grandchildren, Brad Gallop (Molly), Micheal Mott (Emily), Nathanial Simmerman, Blake Hultz (Rachael), Karlie McGee, Brie Weaver (Tyler) and Laura Davidson (Kalip); his great grandchildren, Emmalynn, Harlynn Simmerman, Emersyn, Lydia Gallop, Ivy Weaver and Kole Davidson; his sisters, Linda Barton (Mary K. Buchann) and Honorary; and his nephews, Joe Hancock and Jeremy Hancock. He is also survived by his friends and family's children.

Memorials may be made the Monroe County Cancer Supporters.
