With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Kirsten O'Bannon (Madison, Missouri), who passed away on December 16, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Vesgaard and Maren Vesgaard (Jensen); her husband Roger O'Bannon; her son-in-law Lonnie Elsbury; her great grandchild Annaston Elsbury; and her siblings, Gunnard (Louise Vesgaard), Reynhart (Doris Vesgaard), Edna (Elwood Loving) and Martha (Charles Nielsen).
She is survived by: her children, Kristine Elsbury, Paula O'Bannon, Michael O'Bannon (Donna Lou), Kevin O'Bannon (Marilyn) and Gail Thompson (Tim); her grandchildren, Neil, Marla, Eric, Bryan, Patrick, Shelly, Jay, Jeffrey, Blair and Brooke; her great grandchildren, Keely, Faith, Trenton, Shelby, Owen, Nora, Tristen, Asher, Amryn, Taylor, Mackenzie, Connor, Joseph, Guy, Bannon, Grey, Braylin, Kade and Isla; her great great grandchild Callahan; and her siblings-in-law, Edyth Wood (O'Bannon), Richard, Marilyn O'Bannon, Bill, Ruth Harrison (O'Bannon), Duane Madison and Arlen Wood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be appreciated in Betty's memory to the Monroe County Cancer Supporters or the Madison Community Center.
