It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Hinds of Macon, Missouri, born in Webb City, Missouri, who passed away on June 8, 2023, at the age of 112, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank O. Woods and Cora I. Woods (Weaver); her husband William Louis Hinds Jr.; her grandchildren, Jill, Jan Cavender and Wyatt Coffman; her sons-in-law, Clifford Coffman and Rene Cavender; and her grandson-in-law Richard Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Clarenda Sue Cavender of Elmer, MO and Cayrol Jean Coffman of Macon, MO; and her grandchildren, William Kent Cavender (Donita), Curtis Reed Cavender (Carrie), Susan Jean Van Keirsbilck (Dave), Kyle Lane Cavender, Martha Raylene Freeman, Marsha Jean Blevins (Gary), Chad Ryon Coffman and Chris Regan Coffman (Rachel). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
