She was predeceased by: her parents, William Simmons and Alice Simmons (Hayward); and her sisters, Barbara Sue Blodgett, Betty Sharier, Martha Jacobs, Irma Lou Flemming, Mary Jo Parrish and Sharon Oberto.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Allen Smith; her daughters, Karen Gridley (Mike) of Kansas City, MO and Nancy Pagett of Columbia, MO; her grandchildren, Bradley Sears (Pam), Autumn Shafer (Andy), Jayde Linear, Austin Cobb (Jen), Jakeb Linear (Meg) and MyKel Linear; her great grandchildren, Faith Kothe, Evan Cobb, Gannon Mills, Kayden Shafer, Avia Cobb, Addison Roberts and Jaxson Roberts; her siblings, Rosie Lea of Kirksville, MO, Rex Simmons of Lampasas, TX and William Simmons (Dixie) of Mobile, AL; her siblings-in-law, Robert Jacobs of Gulf Shores, AL, William Smith (Audrey) of Hamlin, NY, George Smith, Charles Oberto of Macon, MO and Lynn Sarkis (Charles) of Boulder, CO; and her friends, Kevin and Mary Linear. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital or the Missouri Girls Town.
