It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Janet Cook of Macon, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woolsey Matkin and Juanita Matkin (Lingenfelter); her husband Donald Lee Cook; and her brother Dan Matkin. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary, Renee DeWeese (Kurt) of Macon, Juanita Waller (Daniel) of Macon, Catherine Cook (Dimitri Karkar) of Dobbs Ferry, NY and Suzanne Hakimipour (Andrew) of Orlando, FL; and her grandchildren, Aaron, Kaitlyn DeWeese, Mary, Nash Waller, Grace, Najla, Michel Karkar, Jason and Alex Hakimipour. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
