She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Lockett and Lena Lockett (Bailey); her spouse Dean Slaughter; her grandchildren, Hannah Perry, Branden Slaughter and Sebrina Frock; her brother Herschell Lockett; and her son-in-law Dale McVay.

She is survived by: her son Norven; her daughter-in-law Denise Slaughter of Brookfield, Missouri; and her daughters, Gayle McVay of Macon and Terri (Bill Wobken). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Memorials in memory of Marietta may be made to the Gifford Christian Church or Indian Hill Cemetery.
