He was predeceased by: his mother Cathern Ailene Dawdy (Benjamin). He is survived by: his father Charles "Buddy" Dawdy; his wife Deborah Dwyer; his sons, Johnathon Dawdy of Kansas City and Adam Dawdy (Millicent) of Macon, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Easton James Dawdy and Pace Charles Dawdy.

Memorials in memory of Les may be made to the La Plata Christian Church.
