He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Lee Sr. and Betty Ann Harper (Hicks); his siblings, Glenda Horton, Paul Harper, David Harper, Donnie Harper, Dennis Harper and Larry; and his grandchildren, Jayden and Ridge.
He is survived by: his sons, David Norton (Dani), Jeremy Harper (April), Chris Harper of Hale and Jace Harper of Macon, Missouri; and his brothers, Marvin Harper (Viveon), Ron Harper (Sharron) and John Harper. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and relatives.
