With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine Ella Lay of Macon, Missouri, born in Vancouver, Washington, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 28, 2024 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred C. Morris and Edna Morris (Hatch); her husbands, Keith McPherson, Earl Shotts, Joseph Stimel and Stanley F. Lay of Bevier, MO; her siblings, Daisy Irene Hamilton, Elaine Pore and Louis Meusse; her grandsons, Adam Olin Smith and Nicholas Skylar Clarkson; and her grandson-in-law David Rogers.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth, Mike McPherson (Tina) of Macon, MO, Michele Jorgenson (James) of Macon, MO, Kenny Shotts of Salina, KS, Bonnie Clarkson (Scott) of LaPlata, MO and Amy Harvey (Kyle) of Macon, MO.; and her grandchildren, Amber Pikey (Smith) of Columbia, MO, Audrey Ford (Smith) of Bevier, MO, Andrew Smith (Elisha) of Kirksville, MO, Abigail Roberts (Perkins) of Macon, MO, Alaina Rogers of LaPlata, MO, Lex Kilgore (Mike) of Reidsville, NC, Anna Perkins of Macon, MO, Austen Harrison (Madison) of Anabel, MO, Angel Harrison, Twyla Harvey and Reyna Harvey of Macon, MO. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
