James Joseph Maulsby Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2025, at the age of 97, James Joseph Maulsby of Macon, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland and Edna Florence Maulsby (Probasco); his wife Marlene Maulsby; and his siblings, Agnes Maulsby, Lois Madeline Maulsby, Robert Maulsby (Bob), Jack Maulsby, Richard Maulsby, Edwin Maulsby and Charley Maulsby.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa (Thun), Jan Orbin (Danny) of Macon, MO and Mark Maulsby of Macon, MO; his grandchildren, Zachary (Thun), Nathan Orbin (Jenny), Brent Orbin, Jacob Orbin (Madeline), Kayla Guthrie (Kyler) and Christian Maulsby (Melinda); his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Mercy, Silas, Owen, Sawyer and Malia; and his sister Virginia Torrey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home (301 N Rubey St, Macon, MO 63552). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (302 N Rutherford St, Macon, MO 63552).
The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church or Missouri Baptist Children's Home.
