As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ernest may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Morgan and Sarah Jane Morgan (Reger); and his wife Delia Joe Morgan (Gaunt). He is survived by: his daughter Kathryn Hayworth of Mt. Juliet, TN; and his granddaughter Stephanie Hayworth (Keith Walters) of Macon, MO. He is also survived by one brother; two sisters; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home (301 N Rubey St, Macon, MO 63552). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Friends of Macon County Missouri Animals or the Echo Autism program of Columbia.
