He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Day and Clarissa Day (Grimshaw); his wife Frances Whyles; his granddaughter Stacy Pillars; his son-in-law Jerry D. Smith; his siblings, R. L., Delmar, Gene, Viola Adams and Nadine Compton; and his close friend Louise Strobietto.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Day of Centralia, MO, Kathy Walker of Macon and Randall Day of Macon; his grandson Adam Smith (Valerie); and his great grandchildren, Addison, Mollie Smith and Tiffany Smothers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family suggests memorials to the Bethlehem Cemetery.
