He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett J. McBrayer and Mildred McBrayer (Wright); his sister-in-law Emalou Hess (Don); and his nephew Donnie Hess. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn McBrayer; his sister-in-law Pat Lowery (Ralph) of Macon, MO; his nieces and nephews, Linda Winstead of Montana, Tina Lowery of Macon, Ralph Lowery of Macon, Brenda Stickler of Illinois, Mike Hess of Illinois and Charlotte Hetz of Illinois; and his close friends, Nolan Tucker and Willey Williams of Sedalia.

Memorials may be made to the Kirksville Humane Society.
