He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Bender and Mattie H. Bender (Miller); and his sister Esther Bell. He is survived by: his sons, Jason Bender (Mindy Howe) of Keota and Terry Bender (Shannon Wiegard) of Marengo; his grandchildren, Lexi, Kaylee, Miles, Mason, Max, Mallory, Maddy and Markus (Arlene); and his siblings, Marvin Bender (Emma) of Kalona, Rufus Bender of Kalona, Ezra Bender of Macon, MO, Serena Zahradnek of Kalona and Morris Bender of Keota. He is also survived by cousins and nieces and nephews.
A general memorial fund has been established.
