It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Johnson MacKlin of Macon, Missouri, who passed away on November 17, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Murrel and Theta Easley (Grigsby); her former husband James Franklin Johnson; her husband Vernon Macklin; and her sister Shirley Bragg.
She is survived by: her children, Don Johnson (Judy) of Farmington, AR and Donna Fessler (Ron) of Macon, MO; her stepdaughter Verna Simmons (Allen) of Macon, MO; her grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, James Mayhew and Machera Mayhew; and her sister Lou Greene of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Immaculate Conception School or St. Mary's Cemetery.
