Allene Meinke Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allene Meinke (Macon, Missouri), born in Trenton, Missouri, who passed away on March 24, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank DeVorss and Ethel DeVorss (Strine); her former husband James Hardin Hudson; her husband Gerald F. Meinke (Jerry); her brother Wayne DeVorss; and her cousin James Wood.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michele Kroll (Meinke) and Elizabeth Pawloski (Meinke) of O'Fallon, MO; her friend Mizzou; her son-in-law Michael Pawloski; her grandchildren, Claire Pawloski, Nicholas Kroll, Andrew Pawloski, Debbie Cockren, Steve DeVorss (Kim), Kay Erlinger, Joe DeVorss (Sarah) and Sue Knapp; and her cousin J. D. Wood (Phyllis) of Newton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was an active member of the Macon community, President of the Lydian Club, founder of the Spirit of '76 4-H club, a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and the Macon Food Pantry.
