It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Aletha Luther of Macon, Missouri, born in Coffey, Missouri, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Oscar Elmer and Etta Mollie Burns Landes; her husband Freddie M. Luther, Sr.; her children, Stephen, Linda Thompson (Tom), Freddie Jr. Luther (Karen) and Susan Leathers; her grandchildren, Tim Frost (Julie), Erik Luther (Jessica), Shannon Schaeffer (Tim) and Lisa Clark (David); and her sister-in-law Bea Luther. She was also cherished by nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Macon Public Library (Friends of the Library) or the Macon United Methodist Church.
