He was predeceased by: his parents, Jab Henry and Darthy Wilson; his siblings, Jesse Ivey, Murvin Ivey and Fannie Minor; his nieces and nephews, Adrian Broadway, Baby Kevin Ivey, Joseph Ryan Guyton, Michelle Ivey, Yolonda Ivey and Secara Burse; and his granddaughter Alexandria Brown.
He is survived by: his siblings, Rubin Ivey Sr., James Ivey Sr. (Arkansas), Barbara Nelson and Darthy Ann Stout (Texas); his children, Shawanna Hughes (Arkansas), Tawanna Hughes-White (Arkansas), Wenevere Martin (Arkansas), Timothy Lawson (Texas) and Cedric Ivey Hughes (Alabama); his brother Jermaine Chatman; and his close friend Mary Chatman. He is also survived by grandchildren (16), great-grandchildren (6), nieces, nephews.
