He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Marie Ruettgers (Werner); his grandparents, Louis, Sybilla Ruettgers, August and Caroline Werner; his aunt Mae Boyd; his uncles, Robert Werner and Peter Radmacher; and his cousin Nolan Schroeder.
He is survived by: his father Harry Ruettgers; and his siblings, Gene Ruettgers (Mel), Paul Ruettgers (Dottie), Dave Ruettgers (Ann), Jerry Ruettgers (Lisa), Ed Ruettgers (Tammy), Mary Luebbert (Dave), Rose Kowieski (Chuck) and Jim Ruettgers (Julie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
