He was predeceased by: his former wife Venida Powers; his wife Norma Powers; his parents, Ernest Powers and Lessie Powers; and his siblings, Larry, Orville, Charles, Mary, Brenda, Lorez, Lois, Patricia and Jean.
He is survived by: his former spouse Venida Jane Poindexter; his children, Mark Powers of Robertsville, Jason Powers (Michele) of California, Velinda Eastham (Robert) of Michigan and Stacie Hatfield (David) of St. Clair; his siblings, Eddie Powers and Linda Barker; his grandchildren, Mesha (Shane), Megan (Junior), Christina (Krystin), Courtney (Mike), Kenneth (Megan), Katie (Brandon), Nicole, Alisha (Chris), Andrew (Amanda) and Abigail; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Josh, Benjamin, Ethan, Nathan, Zyon, Adinev, Penelope, Kalilah, Nora, Brennon, Devon of Kennzee, K. J., Amiliah, Shannon, Ellie, Jackson, Oscar, Harlow and Kenneth. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial are appreciated to be sent to Bethel Baptist Church for the benefit of the Meramec Retreat Center.
