He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert and Deloris Espey; his aunt Janice Espey of Tarkio; his grandfather Donald Hopkins of Boonville; and his father-in-law Kenny Roberts of Kansas City.
He is survived by: his parents, Jerry Espey and Dale Espey of Grain Valley; his children, Samuel Robert and Ruby Marie; his wife Kendra; his sister Jodi Nafzger (Christian) of Boise; his aunt Joan Bryan (Tony) of Savannah; his grandmother Margaret Hopkins of Boonville; his in-laws, Dick, Toni Clark of Lake Tapawingo and Teresa Roberts of Pittsburg; his siblings-in-law, Jason Roberts of Groton, Christy Anderson (Steve) of Overland Park, Scott Clark of Kansas City, Kelly Hahn of Kansas City and Jeff Hahn (Niki) of Parkville; and his nephews, Cody Clark, Nathan Anderson, Henry Nafzger, Elijah Ceesay (Noelle Anderson), Laila Roberts, William Nafzger, Akinsa Ceesay (Julia Ceesay) and Gunner Logan.
