He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Jefferson and Irene Jefferson (Warren); and his grandson Jonathon Hostetter. He is survived by: his spouse Raylene Morgan (Essig); his daughters, Sherri Hays (Glen) of Duke and Lisa Hostetter (Mike) of Milan; his sister Joyce Allen of Chillicothe; his sons, Jeff Jefferson (Johna) and Daniel Jefferson; his stepchildren, Shannon Jones (Leighton) and Shawn Morgan; and his daughter Lori DePuy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
