She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bert" and Elsie Herndon (Boyce); her husband John R. Lyon; and her siblings, Winiford Shermerhorn, Lucy Pointer, Lois Branson, Wilbur, Garvin, Ralph, William, Alvin and Robert "Bob" Herndon.
She is survived by: her children, Rebekah "Becky" Thompson (Tom) of Linn and Robert "Bobby" Lyon of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Shane Thompson (Gina) of Chamois and Kristina Koch (Aaron) of Linn; her great grandchildren, Vidella Koch, Ryann Koch, Sophie Thompson and Cora Thompson; and her sister-in-law Joyce Herndon.
In later years, John developed Alzheimer's and she was always involved in his care.
