Schaefer of Linn, Missouri, born in Loose Creek, Missouri, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Haslag and Mary Haslag (Backes); her husband Herbert M. Schaefer; her siblings, Anna Niekamp (Ray), Frances Niekamp (Albert), Angela Eads (Bill), Sister Alice Haslag, S. R., Clarence Haslag (Esther) and Alfred Haslag; her daughter-in-law Margie Schaefer; and her siblings-in-law, Joe Schafer (Ida), Bill Schaefer (Alice), Loretta Coffman (Ed) and Leona Bret (Elmo).
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald "Ron" Schaefer (Phyllis) of Portland, Ralph Schaefer (Carol) of Loose Creek, Richard Schaefer (Joan) of Taos, Russell Schaefer (Kimberly Schubert) of Taos and Roderick "Rod" Schaefer (Rosa) of Linn; her grandchildren, Holly Schaefer, Jennifer Cross (Jared), Laura Schaefer, Justin Schaefer (Erin), Christy Burton (Spencer), Emma Schaefer and Gracie Schaefer; and her stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Schmidt (William), Tom David, Tim David, Brad Wilson and Lauren Wilson. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
