He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Webster Swearngin and Ethel May (Ferguson); his grandmother Fannie Elizabeth Swearngin; his wife Lula Mae Swearngin; his siblings, Tom Olathe Swearngin (Wanda) and Marge Marie Hyatt; his sons, John Merrill Swearngin and Steve; his daughter-in-law Jeannette Swearngin; and his granddaughters, Stephanie Alice Swearngin-Rhines (Spenser), Amanda Marie Swearngin and Elizabeth Brown Swearngin (Kai). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and personal friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Methodist Church or the Dillion Cemetery c/o the funeral home.
