He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ulmer (Smith); his children, Thomas Douglas O'Brien and Cynthia Ann O'Brien; his brothers, Frank O'Brien and Leonard O'Brien; and his stepsons, Travis Sheppard and Tucker Ulmer. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
