He was predeceased by: his parents, Vurtis McDowell and Thelma McDowell (Hildebrand); and his sister Theresa Spears. He is survived by: his grandparents, William J and Sadie Hildebrand (Barnhart); his wife Joanie of Licking, MO; his children, Vurtis McDowell (Sean) of Jonesboro, AR, Tiffani Root (Travis) of Houston, MO and Shurene Walizer (Travis) of Houston, MO; and his brothers, Ron, Larry, Dale and Troy. He is also survived by grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
