He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas and Josie Ann Kirby (Dryer); his son Timothy James Kirby; his wife Joan; and his sister Bonnie.
He is survived by: his children, Kimbra Jo Brunk (Randy), Kyle Douglas Kirby (Cindy) and Scott Thomas Kirby (Melanie); his siblings-in-law, Pam Gregory (Doug) and Jerry Runnels (Janet); his nephew Charlie Pierce (Carol); his grandchildren, Kirby Brunk (Kerri), Josie King (Chris), Kelsey Stenger (Ethan), Kendall Short (Eli), Reed Kirby (Maddi), Kale Kirby (Megan), Kennedy Vaught (Willis) and Ty Kirby; and his great grandchildren, Conner, Addison, Gage, Brody, Shelby, Carter, Sage and Beckham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
