He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar B. Alkire and Betty Lamb Alkire; and his brother Dennis Alkire. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kate; his son Bryan; his siblings, Connie Unrein (Tim) and Ronnie Alkire (Terry); his sisters-in-law, Meryl Lin McKean and Lynn Alkire; his niece Kimberly Stull (Ryan); his great-nephew Reed; his niece Kris Carlgren (Brett); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler and Kyanne; his nephew Deke Alkire (Sarah); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Audrey and Darcy. He is also survived by other family members and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lexington Hall of Fame for Career Achievement or Crest Ridge School Clothes Closet for student needs.
