He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gilbert "Boots", Verna Rector, Edward Luehrs, Mary Katherine and Irvin Kleinschmidt.
He is survived by: his parents, Gilbert "Gil" Wayne and Edithe "Edie" Darlene Rector (Luehrs) of Lexington, MO; his siblings, Donald "Don" Rector of Lexington, MO, Jeanne Meierer (Todd) of Lexington, MO and Jennifer Soendker (Kirk) of Lexington, MO; his cousins, Kerry Boyd (Joe) and Jim Rector; and his nieces and nephews, Kayla Gibson (Jeremy), Lindsay Rector, Katie Bertz, Holly Crabtree (Amanda), Collin Rector, Colby Crabtree, Cole Rector, Brody Soendker and Conner Soendker. He is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of Jennifer Soendker for a future Rector Family Minutemen Memorial Scholarship Fund.
