He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Charles and Florence Elsie Stephenson (Snell); his wife Helen Jo Barker; and his brother Patrick Stephenson, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Wendell Stephenson (Laurie) of Lexington, Billy Stephenson (Barb) of Columbia and Brad Stephenson (Michelle) of Prairie Village, Kansas; his brother Donald Stephenson (Elaine) of Gilbert, Arizona; his grandchildren, Austin (Lauren), Garrett (Spencer), Collin, Carrie, Will, Morgan, Erin, Allie, Tucker and Colby; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Sophia and Colter.
