She is survived by: her husband James Lee Peterson of Lexington; her sons, James F. Peterson (Jackie) of Excelsior Springs, Kenneth Peterson (Lisa) of New Boston and Daniel F. Peterson (Sheryl) of Concordia; her brothers, Charles Ray Brown of Wellington and Larry Dean Brown (Claudia) of Bates City; and her grandchildren, James F. Peterson (Kristi), A. J. Peterson (Jessica), Darryl Ray Peterson, Ryan Peterson, Dakota Peterson, Cheyenne Peterson, David Lee Peterson and Austin Peterson.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
