It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Matthews (Lexington, Missouri), born in Sedalia, Missouri, who passed away on November 14, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Arthur and Elizabeth Ann Matthews (Covey). He is survived by: his former wife Michele Denker Matthews; his daughter Jennifer Schimmer (Nick); his grandchildren, Tristan, Liam and Hadley of Cabot Arkansas; his close friend Teresa Gardner; his sons, Connor (Matti Matthews) and John; and his siblings, Dan Matthews of Lexington, Sam Matthews of Dublin Ireland and Lisa Matthews of Lee's Summit, Missouri..
Due to timing, Covid and the Health and Safety of our friends, the family will be organizing a memorial gathering at a later date when Sam can attend as well.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that those who wish to send a donation, please do so to your local VFW, American Legion Post, or a State Veterans Home who have lists of items needed for residents in John's name.
