He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour Watson and Elizabeth Watson (Ross); and his sisters, Marnae Warren and Tonya Chance. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Yocum; his children, Lorraine Watson of Odessa and Greg Watson (Tammy) of Lexington; and his sister Peggy Smith (Pat) of Independence. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Community of Christ Church.
